Rodney Taylor

Rodney Taylor is an Aboriginal artist from Halls Creek in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. His work reflects the strong cultural traditions of the Kimberley and a deep connection to Country.

Rodney is not only a painter but also a talented traditional carver, well known for his detailed carvings on boab nuts. The boab tree is an iconic part of the Kimberley landscape, and its nuts have long been used by Aboriginal artists as a natural canvas for storytelling and cultural expression.
