About No Fixed Address

No Fixed Address was created to honour stories, culture, and the people behind the art.

We exist to support Aboriginal artists by creating a space where their work is represented with respect, transparency, and care, not mass-produced, not stripped of meaning, and never separated from the artist who created it.

Every piece we share carries a story. Our role is simply to help it travel.

Our Approach

No Fixed Address is not a gallery in the traditional sense, and we’re not a marketplace driven by volume.

We focus on:

  • Direct relationships with artists

  • Small collections, often one-of-a-kind pieces

  • Transparency around process, pricing, and provenance

  • Storytelling, so buyers understand the cultural and personal significance of each work

Where possible, artworks are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and artist information, ensuring clarity and trust for collectors.

Why No Fixed Address Exists

Too often, Aboriginal art is sold without context, without credit, or without fair return to the artist. No Fixed Address was born from a desire to do things differently.

We work directly with artists to ensure their work is:

  • Authentically represented

  • Ethically sold

  • Fairly paid

  • Clearly credited

This isn’t about trends or fast production. It’s about slowing down, listening, and creating meaningful connections between artists and collectors.

Meet the Artists

The artists we work with come from diverse communities and practices, each with their own voice, techniques, and stories. Some have permanent studios. Others work where they can, when they can — which is part of the reality of creative life.

“No Fixed Address” reflects this fluidity. It acknowledges that creativity doesn’t always sit neatly within walls or labels.

Our priority is always respect: for culture, for Country, and for the artist’s right to tell their story in their own way.

More Than a Purchase

When you purchase from No Fixed Address, you’re not just buying an artwork.

You are:

  • Supporting an artist directly

  • Investing in cultural continuity

  • Choosing ethical trade over mass production

  • Becoming part of a story that extends beyond the object itself

We believe art should feel personal, considered, and meaningful — from the moment you encounter it to the moment it finds its place in your home.
