Reggie Gordon

Reggie Gordon is an Aboriginal artist from Halls Creek in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, whose paintings are inspired by the vast landscapes and colours of his Country.

Reggie is known for painting Kimberley landscapes, capturing the beauty of the land through sweeping forms, earthy tones and the changing light across Country. His inspiration comes directly from the environment that surrounds him.

When asked how he first learned to paint, Reggie shared a simple but powerful story. While travelling on a bus from Halls Creek, he found himself looking out at the landscape and noticing the beauty of his Country in a new way. When he arrived at his destination, he took what he had seen and painted it.

That moment became the beginning of his artistic journey. Through his paintings, Reggie Gordon continues to capture the spirit of the Kimberley landscape, sharing the beauty of his Country through his own eyes.
