Louise Numina
Louise Numina Napanangka is an Anmatyerre artist from Ti Tree, north of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. One of the renowned Numina Sisters, Louise was mentored by her aunties Gloria and Kathleen Petyarre—two of Australia’s most respected Aboriginal artists.
Her vibrant acrylic paintings reflect her deep connection to Country and women’s Dreaming stories, often depicting Bush Medicine Leaves, Women’s Ceremony, and Bush Tucker. Through rhythmic brushwork and luminous colour, Louise celebrates the desert landscape and the ancestral traditions passed down through generations of strong women.
Now based in Darwin, she continues to share her culture and heritage through contemporary Aboriginal art that has been exhibited across Australia and collected internationally.
