Alicka Napanangka Brown

Alicka Napanangka Brown, born on May 9, 1998, at Alice Springs Hospital, is from Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community 290 km northwest of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Australia. She is the daughter of Maria Nampinjinpa Brown and the granddaughter of Wendy Nungarrayi Brown, both distinguished artists. Alicka has one sister, Antoinette Napanangka Brown, who also paints for the Warlukurlangu Art Centre. Growing up in a family of artists, Alicka has been immersed in the world of painting since childhood, learning by observing her family and listening to their stories.
